A bit about the artist…
Born and raised in Central California, I've always been captivated by the interplay of space, colors and shapes in the world around me. Now, as a resident of Long Beach for nearly a decade and a half, I've infused the vibrant energy of this city into my artistic journey.
With a Bachelor's degree in Art, specializing in Design, I've honed my skills to translate my observations and emotions into visual narratives. But my passion for education led me to pursue a Master's in Education, focusing on curriculum and instruction, allowing me to share my love for art with eager minds.
As an art educator, I've embraced the responsibility of nurturing budding creativity, guiding students through courses such as Introduction to Art, Design, Drawing, and Painting. My background in graphic design adds depth to my teaching, as I strive to instill in my students not only technical proficiency but also a keen eye for aesthetics and storytelling.
Beyond the classroom, I find inspiration in the roles of mother and wife, drawing from the kaleidoscope of experiences that family life offers. These multifaceted roles infuse my work with a richness and depth that reflect the complexity of human emotions and relationships.
In my art, I aim to create a dialogue between the viewer and the piece, inviting them to explore their own interpretations and connections. Each stroke of the brush, each composition, is a reflection of my journey, capturing moments of joy, introspection, and wonder.
As I continue to evolve as an artist, educator, and individual, I remain committed to sharing my passion for art and fostering a community where creativity thrives and imagination knows no bounds.
